Account Director

We are looking for a new leader to join our account service team. As an Account Director, this person will own the client relationship and management of a team to effectively produce the best outcomes for our clients and agency. A visionary, a strategist, a mentor and a master of detail, the Account Director is accountable for the final outcome of every project.

  • Comprehensive understanding of client’s business
  • Use client-service skills to build trust with clients by exhibiting a deep understanding of their business and needs
  • Elevate the strategic value of the relationship
  • Guarantee only the highest level of quality reaches the client, and all deliverables meet the marketing objectives
  • Approach brand from holistic marketing perspective
  • Serve as the daily senior contact to the client
  • Facilitate client communication and expectations that ensures vision, needs, and requirements are understood and executed appropriately
  • Define scope, timelines, resource needs for projects and campaigns 
  • Develop creative briefs and overall client brand/creative strategy
  • Facilitate client planning, estimating/SOWs/proposals, overall budgeting, negotiating and reporting
  • Assist senior management in forecast projections and updates
  • Delegate opportunities ensuring team growth and opportunity
  • Manage staff with clear expectations, ongoing feedback and encouragement
  • Collaborate with creative and production departments to ensure flawless execution of projects
  • Articulate agency capabilities
  • Be a diplomatic problem solver
  • Work with our business development team to find our next great clients
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
  • Ability to write concise, informative reports and compelling position papers 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present at the highest levels of an organization
  • Ability to present information verbally in an organized, clear and persuasive manner

Qualifications

This position requires candidates with proven account management experience in an agency environment. Additional requirements include:

  • Position is located in our San Antonio, Texas office
  • 4-year degree in Advertising, Marketing or Public Relations
  • 8+ years agency account services/leadership experience
  • Agency experience including both traditional and new media
  • Master of client relationships with proven experience of successful client growth and retention
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Keynote, with exceptional skills in Excel
  • Prefer ability to work with a project management system
